Welcome to Extrovert! This guide will help you get started in minutes.

1. First login: Your workspace is ready

When you first log in, Extrovert automatically pulls data from your LinkedIn to set up your workspace. After a few moments, you'll see your Feed page - the main place where all the action happens.

2. Understanding your Feed

The Feed shows all posts that matter to you in one clean view. For each post, you'll see:

  • Post summary: Quick AI-generated overview of what the post is about

  • Suggested comment draft: AI-written comment ready for your review

Nothing gets posted without your approval. You're always in control. You can:

  • Regenerate the draft for different options

  • Customize it with AI to add specific points

  • Edit it manually

  • Approve when ready - it posts on your behalf to LinkedIn

3. Your campaigns: Two engagement strategies

Extrovert creates two campaigns for you automatically:

Prospects campaign

Track specific people - your prospects, customers, or thought leaders. We've added 5 people you recently engaged with to get you started.

Topics campaign

Track specific topics across all of LinkedIn. We've automatically populated topics based on your LinkedIn profile.

Think of campaigns as your engagement strategies. Some strategies track people, others track topics. You can manage all campaigns in the Campaigns section.

4. What can you do with Extrovert?

Extrovert is designed for specific use cases. Choose the one that matches your goal:

Warm up prospects before outreach

Comment on prospect posts 2-3 times before sending your first message. Results in 3-5x better reply rates.

  • Use: Prospects campaign

  • Track: Specific people

Nurture your pipeline and customers

Stay visible to active deals, customers, and partners with regular touchpoints throughout long sales cycles.

5. Add your prospects

To get the most value, add people you care about to your Prospects campaign:

  1. Go to Campaign β†’ Prospect list

  2. Click to add prospects

  3. Choose your import method:

    • Paste LinkedIn profile URLs

    • Recent connections

    • Sales Navigator search URL

    • CSV file upload

    • API integration

Organize prospects into lists for different groups: "Hot prospects", "Enterprise customers", "Thought leaders", etc.

6. Set up Context and Style (optional but recommended)

We've created default Context and Style based on your LinkedIn profile, but you can customize them for better comment quality.

Style: How you write

Go to Settings β†’ Style library to customize:

  • Style instructions: Your tone, length preferences, emoji usage

  • Comment examples: AI learns from your examples

Context: What you talk about

Go to Settings β†’ Context library to customize:

  • About you: Your background and expertise

  • About your company: What your company does

  • Insights: Advanced knowledge AI can reference (use our prompt to generate from your content)

7. Configure Feed Settings (optional)

Each campaign has Feed Settings that control what posts you see. Access them via:

  • Post feed β†’ "Settings and filtering" menu

  • Campaign settings β†’ Feed settings tab

Customize settings like:

  • Post age filter (how recent posts should be)

  • Hide post categories (remove politics, self-promotion, etc.)

  • Touchpoint frequency (how often to engage with each person)

  • Maximum posts per person (prevent feed takeover)

  • AI topic filtering (show only posts matching your expertise)

8. How posts are updated

Extrovert automatically checks for new posts every 24 hours for each prospect. You can see the last check time in your prospect list.

Need posts immediately? Trigger a manual check:

  • From Feed: "Settings and filtering" β†’ "Check for new posts"

  • From Campaign: Three dots menu β†’ "Check for new posts"

  • From Prospects page: Select prospects β†’ bulk action

9. Connect your LinkedIn account

For Extrovert to work, you need to connect your LinkedIn account. We take security very seriously:

  • No Chrome extensions (more secure than automation tools)

  • Advanced safety measures to protect your account

  • No accounts banned since launch

Connect your account from Settings when prompted.

10. Add your team (optional)

When you're ready to bring your team to Extrovert:

  1. Go to Team section

  2. Invite team members

  3. Go to Campaign β†’ Ownership and access

  4. Enable sharing access so they can comment on your behalf

☝️ Pro tip: Team members who don't connect their LinkedIn (they just help manage campaigns) don't need a paid seat.
