What counts as inactive
Inactive prospects are those who haven't posted on LinkedIn in the last 30 days. They might still be reading posts but aren't sharing their own content.
βοΈ Pro tip: Before deleting inactive prospects, consider using the reach prospects who don't post feature to stay visible to them through indirect engagement.
Where to delete inactive prospects
You can delete inactive prospects from three places in Extrovert:
Prospects page
Go to Prospects and click Delete inactive prospects in the top-right menu. This removes inactive prospects from all your campaigns.
Campaigns page
Go to Campaigns, click the three dots next to any campaign, and select Delete inactive prospects. This removes inactive prospects from the selected campaign only.
Within prospect lists
Inside any campaign, go to the Audience tab, click the three dots next to a prospect list, and select Delete inactive prospects. This removes inactive prospects from that specific list only.
How deletion works
When you click delete inactive prospects:
Extrovert scans for inactive prospects: The system finds all prospects who haven't posted in 30 days
You see the count: A dialog shows how many prospects will be deleted
Choose campaigns: Select which campaigns to clean up (if deleting from the main Prospects page)
β οΈ Warning: This action cannot be undone. Deleted prospects must be re-imported if you want to track them again.
Shared campaigns and team considerations
When deleting inactive prospects from shared campaigns:
The deletion affects all team members who have access to that campaign
Extrovert warns you if shared prospects will be deleted
Consider coordinating with your team before bulk deletions
Alternatives to deletion
Instead of deleting inactive prospects, you can:
Use the lurkers feature
Enable "Reach inactive prospects by tracking posts they're likely to see" in your campaign settings. This helps you stay visible to prospects who don't post by commenting on posts they follow.
Move to a separate list
Create a "Low activity" prospect list and move inactive prospects there. This keeps them in your system while focusing your main lists on active posters.
When to delete inactive prospects
Delete inactive prospects when:
You're approaching your prospect limits
You want to focus only on active LinkedIn users
Keep inactive prospects when:
They're high-value targets worth long-term nurturing
You use the lurkers feature to reach them indirectly
