Two ways to change an AI-drafted comment or DM: a quick regenerate for an instant new version, or Improve draft to direct exactly what changes. Both appear on comment drafts in the post feed and DM drafts in AI DMs.
Quick regenerate vs Improve draft
Quick regenerate (🔄): One click, instantly generates a fresh random variation. No instructions needed.
Improve draft: Opens a panel where you direct exactly what changes to make.
How to use Improve draft
Click Improve draft on any comment or DM.
Choose Start from scratch (a fresh version) or Improve current (adjust what's already there).
Tell it what to change: type instructions, tap the quick-action buttons, or tap the microphone next to Improve draft to record a voice note instead and let the AI turn it into instructions.
Click Regenerate.
Quick action buttons
Use buttons like "Make shorter", "Ask a question", "Disagree", "Mention your company" for common changes. You can combine multiple buttons or write custom instructions. Starting from scratch also offers a length choice and a mini-post style.
Customizing for different strategies
Tailor your comments based on your engagement strategy:
Warming up prospects: Add context about yourself, ask thoughtful questions.
Pipeline nurturing: Reference shared experiences, mention your company when relevant.
Commenting for visibility: Disagree respectfully, make longer value-add comments.
Building creator relationships: Show support, share personal experiences.
Custom instructions
Type specific instructions like:
"Add a personal story about this experience"
"Make this more controversial to spark discussion"
"Include our recent product launch"
Writing an effective instruction
Be specific and change one thing at a time. Name the exact change you want rather than a vague "make it better".
Clear: "Add a sentence about our onboarding time", "Cut the last line and end with a question", "Make the opening less formal".
Too vague: "Improve this", "Make it good", "Fix it".
You can combine quick-action buttons for several changes at once, but each instruction works best when it's clear on its own.
If the draft already reads well, just post it - you don't have to improve every draft. And if you find yourself making the same fix over and over, change it in your settings instead (see below) so every future draft starts right.
Plan limits
Light plan: 5 Improve-draft uses per day
Business and Pro plans: Unlimited
Changing drafts everywhere, not just this one
Improve draft only affects the comment or DM you're looking at. To change the tone or content of every future draft, update your settings instead:
For comments: Update your Context and Style
For DMs: Update your DM style instructions and DM playbook in the same place
