Comments and DMs always post from the campaign owner's LinkedIn profile, even if someone else manages the campaign.

Understanding campaign ownership

Who can own campaigns

Team members with LinkedIn connected

  • Comments and DMs post from their LinkedIn profile

  • Can own multiple campaigns

  • Has full control of their campaigns

Managed accounts

  • Comments and DMs post from their LinkedIn profile

  • Admins manage the campaigns for them

  • Don't have direct Extrovert access

Shared access vs ownership

Campaign owner: The person whose LinkedIn is connected - comments and DMs post from their profile

Shared with team members: Can manage the campaign (edit prospects, approve comments and DMs, change settings) but everything still posts from owner's profile

Transferring campaign ownership

When you might transfer

  • Team member leaves the company

  • Different person's LinkedIn is more appropriate

  • Reorganizing team responsibilities

Requirements for new owner

The new owner must be:

  • Already a team member or managed account

  • Have LinkedIn connected ("Can connect LinkedIn" setting)

  • Understand comments and DMs will post from their profile

How to transfer

  1. Go to Campaign β†’ Ownership and access

  2. Find Campaign owner section

  3. Click Change next to current owner

  4. Select a new owner from dropdown

  5. Confirm the transfer

What happens during transfer

What transfers:

  • All prospects and their data

  • Campaign settings and context

  • Future commenting and DM rights

What doesn't transfer:

  • Past comment history (stays with the previous owner)

  • Analytics from before the transfer

Sharing campaigns with team members

Any campaign owner can share their campaign:

  1. Go to Campaign β†’ Settings and sharing

  2. Select team members to share with

  3. Click Save

Shared team members can manage prospects and approve comments and DMs, but everything always posts from the owner's LinkedIn.
