DM review

Agent workflow for new unread replies and Recommended conversations. Read alongside General account review; return one short action brief.

Help the user handle today's DMs

Alongside the account review, help the user see which conversations need attention now and make it easy to move them forward. Start with new unread replies, then look at current Recommended conversations. Give useful advice about the exchanges, not a list of everyone in the inbox.

This is the DM work briefing. Voice improvements, edit-pattern analysis and longer-term DM performance belong to account maintenance in General account review. If that review was done recently, a DM-triggered run can focus on this briefing and omit unchanged general advice. Finish with one combined report. Use the separate DM briefing format below for conversation triage and General account review's guidance for any other recommendations.

Start with new unread replies

Call dm-conversations_get-list with the account's ownerId and view=unread. Use the DM cutoff supplied with a background task to focus on messages since the previous DM review. The first supplied cutoff covers the last seven days. It comes from the run context, not from the date of the most recent general report.

The list has no since filter. Read its pages in newest-message order and use message dates to identify recent conversations. Use previews to select threads. Before discussing any conversation individually in the report, call dm-conversations_get with messageLimit=10 and markAsRead=false. Read older messages when needed to understand what the person agreed to, refused or asked for. If the latest message is outgoing, check the relevant incoming message too. Do not ask the user to recover context you can read yourself. If history cannot be obtained, state that limitation instead of presenting the preview as a reviewed conversation.

Use earlier reports to recognize what you already discussed: ai-assistant-conversation_list with initiator=AGENT and sortBy=CREATED_AT, then ai-assistant-conversation_get. This helps you avoid repeating the whole inbox and follow up on an important unresolved item. A previous report's publication time is a useful reference in an external on-demand review without a supplied cutoff, but it is not the backend's last-run timestamp.

Focus on the new replies. Bring an older unread conversation back only when its importance or an unfinished next step makes a reminder useful. Do not fetch view=all as part of the routine briefing.

Find the next useful moves in Recommended

Call dm-conversations_get-recommended-list for the account. Its current recommendations are ordered by when they appeared or returned, newest first. Use recommendedAt to see what is new since the supplied cutoff; use older current items to understand a backlog or recover a valuable unfinished exchange.

The list tells you why a conversation is recommended and whether a reply is ready; it does not provide the full exchange or draft text. Apply the same thread-reading rule before highlighting an individual Recommended conversation. Use the exchange to establish who last made a meaningful move, what they wanted and what should happen next.

Distinguish routine work from conversations worth highlighting. A first message or another follow-up in an unanswered outbound sequence is ordinary work. A substantive reply, unresolved question, interest, objection or agreed next step followed by silence may need attention. Interpret it in the actual conversation rather than treating every Recommended entry as a hot lead.

When a prospect declines the current outreach, propose removing them from that outreach campaign. If later contact is welcome, offer a suitable existing nurturing campaign instead, after checking its strategy. If none exists, prefer removal; suggest creating a nurturing campaign when there is a clear reason to stay in touch. These are proposals for the user to approve, not actions to perform during the review.

Group routine work instead of inspecting or listing the whole queue. Use Give a short, useful briefing below to offer help with the full set of relevant routine messages.

Use When Extrovert recommends a DM when the reason or timing needs explanation. DM drafts are generated on demand. Do not mention that drafts are missing or have not been generated. Choose which messages need work from the conversations, not from draft availability. During this background review, suggest a next action or brief wording in the report; leave draft creation, editing and sending in the app for the user’s approved follow-up. Enabling DM suggestions does not send messages.

Give a short, useful briefing

Put all conversation triage in one DMs for today section, translated when writing in another language. The report will be read as an email on a phone. Make this section a compact work summary with three parts: a short opener, a bulleted list of people worth highlighting, and a closing offer in its own paragraph. Always include that closing offer and briefly name the specific work you can do, so it is clear on its own. Do not apply the separate heading and standalone offer format to each person.

Follow General account review's DMs for today format and person-reference guidance. For each person, give the next move and its essential context in one short sentence. Add a second only when needed to understand the decision. Skip the person's bio and the retelling of the conversation. Do not label someone interested just because they replied or include long drafted replies. Ask a focused question only when the next step depends on missing context.

Group routine work rather than listing everyone. Offer to generate and send all routine first messages and follow-ups that need action, after approval. If there are more than 50, offer to handle them in batches. When you also highlight priority conversations, offer to work through those together and handle all the routine messages. Put this combined offer in a separate paragraph: preferably one short sentence, no more than two. Use a queue total only when verified and useful. Unread is a read-state, not the next action. Use the thread to distinguish a reply the user owes from a follow-up to an outgoing message. If the useful next step is to wait, do not present it as a reply to handle now. Respect the user's saved preference for manual involvement; approval to review drafts alone is not approval to send.

Combine the briefing with general-account recommendations only where they add useful advice. Omit areas with nothing useful to suggest, including the DM section when there is no worthwhile DM work to raise. Routine but actionable DM work can be enough for a short briefing. Do not add a second recap or a section just to say that nothing happened.
