Quick fixes to try first

1. Enable push notifications

Make sure LinkedIn can send you notifications:

On iPhone:

  • Go to Settings → Notifications → LinkedIn

  • Turn on "Allow Notifications"

  • Enable Banners, Sounds, and Badges

On Android:

  • Go to Settings → Apps → LinkedIn → Notifications

  • Turn on "Show notifications"

  • Enable all notification categories

2. Reinstall LinkedIn mobile app

  • Delete LinkedIn app from your phone

  • Download fresh version from App Store or Google Play

  • Log in to your LinkedIn account

  • Enable push notifications when prompted

  • Try connecting to Extrovert again

Switch to SMS verification

If push notifications still don't work, change your 2FA method to SMS:

  1. Go to LinkedIn.com on your computer

  2. Click your profile photo → Settings & Privacy

  3. Go to Sign in & security → Two-step verification

  4. Turn off current 2FA method

  5. Set up new 2FA using "Text message" option

  6. Add your phone number

  7. Verify with the SMS code LinkedIn sends

  8. Try connecting to Extrovert again

Use authenticator app instead

More reliable than push notifications:

  1. Download Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator

  2. Go to LinkedIn → Settings & Privacy → Two-step verification

  3. Choose "Authenticator app" option

  4. Scan QR code with your authenticator app

  5. Enter 6-digit code from app to verify setup

  6. Try connecting to Extrovert again

Still not working?

If you've tried all these steps and still can't connect:

  • Contact Extrovert support with screenshots of any error messages

  • Include details about which 2FA method you're using

  • Mention which browser and device you're using
