Extra delay for back-to-back comments

Extra delay for back-to-back comments puts a gap between comments that would otherwise publish one after another for the same prospect. Your comments land over time instead of all at once, and you can still approve a batch of them in one sitting.

To turn it on, open the campaign and go to the Commenting tab. Switch on Extra delay for back-to-back comments and set the delay. The range is 1 to 168 hours and the default is 24. It is off until you turn it on.

The Commenting tab saves as you go, so there is no Save button to click. For the other settings on that tab, see Commenting settings: which posts appear and in what order.

This is a plan feature. If your plan doesn't include it, the switch is greyed out with an option to upgrade.

How it works

The delay changes timing only. It does not change which posts reach your feed, and it does not change what the comments say. An approved comment waits its turn and then posts.

It applies to one person at a time. Comments for different prospects are not held back by each other, so the delay slows down repeat attention on the same person rather than your whole day.

The delay and your daily limit are separate. Your daily comment limit caps how many comments post per day across your whole account. The delay only decides when a comment goes out. A comment held back by the delay still counts toward the daily limit on the day it actually posts.

Choosing the delay

168 hours is 7 days, so the setting covers anything from a short pause to a full week.

  • A few hours: your prospects post often and you want to keep up with them.

  • 24 hours: the default, and a sensible starting point for most campaigns.

  • 48 hours or more: your prospects post rarely, or you are building a relationship slowly and want the lightest touch.
